Big Dog

I’m not allowed to have a big dog

In my apartment 

But that’s OK

My inner dog mom is busy 

Dog momming my inner big dog

Dog mom goes, “Walkies!”

Big dog hears it through

3 walls and a closed window

Ears alert, tail thumping

Others praise my big dog as disciplined

But the truth is it’s feral compulsion 

If I don’t take big dog to the park 

Big dog will chew the furniture

I dap up my other big dog acquaintances

Who will never know me outside 

Of this context

Our inner dog moms will never meet

One greets me, “Big Dog”
